The infinity of time and space simultaneously overwhelms and envelops us. Everyday life meets the limits of our imagination. The eternal paradox of the human experience.
For this collection I worked with different media on small format canvases. Planetary structures represent space and the incorporated collages represent time as I used selected clippings from original magazines from the 1980s. Precious shimmering gold color connects both.
SATURN IN THE 80s

The planet of this artwork is the largest in the series. A sweeping, colorful arc moves past it and is reminiscent of the rings of Saturn. The collage shines through in the background. What particularly stands out about this artwork are the lemon yellow accents on the flowing gold.

Time and space are infinite and, upon closer inspection, regularly exceed our imagination. How can we face this infinity? We, who feel small and insignificant in this vast universe. But we have something deep within us that is just as infinite and can perhaps even transcend time and space: love. All images in this series carry this idea.

Can we actually still imagine that? We arrange an evening rendezvous in the golden moonlight and the meeting place is at the telephone booth. A unique romance surrounds this relic from another time. Was it a better or worse life? Neon green splashes of color give this artwork a very special touch.
