It dances around us as delicately and small as a butterfly, suddenly hovers in the air and drinks nectar from a flower: the SCHMETTERLINGSELFE (literally: butterfly elf) of the hummingbird family of birds. It reminds us of sweet summer afternoons and sparkling refreshments.
The balance of black and white shapes embedded in different color patterns is a key design element of this artwork. SCHMETTERLINGSELFE impresses with a colorful palette of violet, light red, pink and apricot. Turquoise and purple-blue accents complete the composition.
