We are in a rotating disk of gas and dust around a young star. The matter condenses, forms fantastic shapes and breaks apart. A planet emerges from the fracture and begins its journey through space and time. It carries stardust within it.

Working on this artwork was very intuitive. First I created the formations on the central axis, then I covered everything with cloudy nebulae of color and finally I added the planet, which completed the artwork in a very surprising way.

HERKUNFT is a tribute to the inexplicable creative power of our universe. From dust emerges life. Are we perhaps well advised to believe in miracles after all?
