Eight of my artworks were exhibited as part of the themed exhibition “In Motion” in the Publicartists Gallery in the 8th district of Vienna. I selected works that were part of series and thus resulted in a well-rounded picture. Two artworks came from the recently completed neon series (format 80x80cm) and two from the lemonade series (also 80x80cm). On top of that the entire three-part Hummingbird series was included in the exhibition (format 62x38cm).
The installation of the artworks was done by gallery owner and held a surprise for myself. On a continuous wall surface, the two works from the neon series “Helium Butterflies” and “Drachenschwarm” framed the artwork “Tonic” from the lemonade series, which was dominated by light shades. The visual impression of these three works next to each other was extraordinary and created an unexpected mood of tropical virginity, refreshing sweetness and at the same time urban unity.
The three works from the Kolibri series were exhibited in a separate room. They were meaningfully complemented by the second work from the lemonade series “Kacherl”. The optically round design of the Kolibri series brought a special harmony to the small room with seating opportunity. A key design element of this series is the balance of black and white shapes that are embedded in different color patterns.
